Goa needs little introduction, but the Goa we choose is the quieter one: bougainvillea draped villas set back from the busiest beaches, tropical gardens, and the sound of the sea rather than the crowd.
The north is lively, with its cafes, markets and nightlife, while the south keeps its long, calm beaches and old Portuguese churches. Our collection leans towards privacy: a pool and a garden of your own, with the beach a short drive away.
It is the easiest of our three destinations to reach by air, and the one best suited to a longer, slower holiday in the sun.
November to February is the classic season: dry, warm and pleasant. The monsoon, June to September, is green, dramatic and far quieter, with lower rates.
Goa is best reached by air, about an hour and a half from Mumbai and well connected to most Indian cities. By road from Mumbai it is around 590 km, a long but scenic coastal drive.

Elysium is our finest Goa property, a five bedroom tropical estate with a 20 metre pool, lush gardens and a rooftop terrace that faces the Arabian Sea. The architecture is colonial meets contemporary: heritage Portuguese arches framing modern interiors in white, linen and rattan. This is Goa at its most glorious.

Arcadia is the Goa that locals dream of, removed from the noise, set among coconut groves and paddy fields with a pool that reflects the endless tropical sky. The villa is generous and unselfconscious: wide verandahs, deep daybeds and a kitchen garden that supplies the chef's table.

Palmera is framed by a grove of 80 year old palms that create a natural canopy over the villa and pool. The property has a relaxed, sun soaked personality, bright interiors, tiled floors, hammocks in the garden and a pool deck that's made for long, lazy afternoons. Goa as it should be.

Belleview sits on a gentle rise above the Goa coastline, offering uninterrupted views of the sea from the main living areas, pool deck and every bedroom. The villa's design is deliberately understated, everything steps aside for the view. Sunrises here are not an experience; they are an event.

Beleza, Portuguese for 'beauty', is Goa's most intimate Travalong property. Three beautifully appointed suites arranged around a courtyard pool, each with its own private sit out. The villa has the feel of a Portuguese manor house: arched doorways, terracotta tiles and whitewashed walls draped in bougainvillea.
